1Find an Installer

We encourage the use of a professional installer and finisher and work with many in the Northeast. Be sure to discuss with them or others the exact look and feel you want to achieve. We by no means are discouraging the "would be homeowner" to do this on their own but we do want to emphasize that installation and finishing are two inherently differing skill sets.

1Types of Cuts

Wood is cut one of three ways - Plainsawn, Quartersawn or Riftsawn. Plainsawn is the most common. Its first cut is made on a tangent to the circumference. Each succeeding cut is made parallel to the first.
